How the fast setup times of inflatable structures benefit event organisers

There are several benefits to using inflatable structures for time-sensitive events. One of the biggest benefits is that they can be set up and taken down quickly, making them ideal for events that require a temporary structure. Inflatable structures are also lightweight and easy to transport, which makes them a convenient option for events that need to be set up in different locations, using smaller fuel efficient transportation that can access all venues.

Another benefit of using inflatable structures is that they are versatile and can be used for a wide range of events, from exhibitions and conferences to sports events and trade shows. Inflatable structures can be customised to meet the specific needs of each event, and can be outfitted with features such as lighting, heating, and air conditioning to create a comfortable and functional space.

In addition, inflatable structures are durable and can withstand inclement weather, making them a reliable option for outdoor events. They are also cost-effective, as they require less labour and materials to construct than traditional structures.

What makes inflatable structures quick to set up?

Inflatable structures are quick to set up because they use air pressure to inflate and maintain their shape, rather than being built using traditional construction methods. This means that they can be set up in a matter of minutes, using a small team of workers and minimal equipment.

To set up an inflatable structure indoors, we first lay out the structure on the ground sheet and attach centrifugal fans to the openings. The fan is then turned on, and the structure begins to inflate. Once the structure is fully inflated, we then secure it in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that it is stable and properly aligned. If inflating outdoors we would lay out ballast or ground anchors before the inflation so that it is properly weighted for wind conditions.

Inflatable structures are designed to be easy to set up and take down, which makes them a convenient option for events that require a temporary structure. Because they can be set up quickly and without the need for complex equipment or construction techniques, inflatable structures are an efficient and effective solution for time-sensitive events.

Doing the heavy lifting

Duct fans are a type of fan that we use to inflate our airflow inflatable structures. These fans are typically used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to move air through ducts. However, they can also be used to inflate inflatable structures.

Using our duct fans to inflate an inflatable structure takes all the heavy lifting out of the process. We connect multiple fans to the inflatable structure so it fits in-line and doesn’t protrude out further than the structure’s footprint. Once the fans are connected, we turn it on and adjust the speed as needed to achieve the desired level of inflation. Duct fans are designed to move large volumes of air, so they are able to quickly inflate even large inflatable structures.

Inflatable Structure 1-piece design

Our inflatable structures are designed in a one piece solution so all we need to do onsite is unroll the inflatable cube or inflatable dome, set out our electrics, attach the fans and then turn on the power. This takes a fraction of the time than a standard marquee or exhibition shell scheme. We can then add lights, branding, glazed door systems. This means AV companies and furniture can then be installed way ahead of time.

Getting in and building a structure as quickly as possible means that other trades and services can operate and start much more quickly. This is essential when you have to hire a venue. Event builds can take up to 7 days especially when custom trade stands are constructed on site, however the de-rig only allows a maximum of 24 hours to clear the space before it is cleaned. Then the valuable event space is good to go for another event. In events, time is money and with the speedy installation of inflatable structures you and your next event are sure to get a head start.

Overall, inflatable structures offer a convenient, versatile, and cost-effective solution for time-sensitive events, as event organisers or venue managers, we appreciate the need for time saving solutions that look great and serve a valuable purpose.
