Experiential Beehives popping up in Essex
The summer has just begun and we’ve been busy little bees buzzing around the country from Hastings to Colchester Our colony has been a hive of activity for half term fun and education including some waxing lyrical on how important bees are in our lives.

Bees are the backbone of nature, without them pollenation would suffer and so would the rest of the wildlife.
​
Bespoke inflatable structures can take any form, size, colour and texture you like. Now and again we get the opportunity to get creative and at one with nature.

Everything looks great when it’s made larger than life, and when our client requested our services for an event for half term, we flew into action. We designed and produced a stunning inflatable beehive that not only looked great, it smelt great too, With a little help from some sweet honey aroma oils, excited wannabee keepers had fun listening to talks on rare bee species and other interesting wildlife trivia.

Creating an experience is what our structures do best, being surrounded by 360 degrees by a themed space catches the imagination of all ages.

The inflatable beehive was also host to engaging crafts activities. Holland & Barrett also held a competition to win a luxurious honey gift hamper.

The project consisted of a site visit to scope out the size required for the pop up honeycomb structure; some creative inflatable 2D & 3D structure design, some intricate seamstress work and some hard graft for installation.

With full scale 4 colour process direct printing, we can print all colours onto the rip stop property fabric. After careful pattern design and making, we plot graphics so that the graphic wraps around the structure, almost seamlessly. We print the material first and then cut the patterns to create all the components to make the structure. Next comes hundreds of maters of sewing.
Daily Activations​

The inflatable beehive was built and de constructured or should we say inflated and deflated each day by the Optix Bees so the structure was kept safe in a busy night life area of the town.
​
The carpet was laid on every install along with ballast to secure the pop up beehive in place in winds.
​
